God's promises

God's promises

I have believed Your words for as long as I can remember
There was not a day on which I did not trust You to know me
Even when I was still small I would my day to You surrender

You promised me a husband
You promised me in due time
You excited me with prophecy

Lord, what is the deterrent?

I took You up on Your word
I waited patiently for my Lord
I did not query You once

Lord, what is the deterrent?

Lord, I’ll wait.
