Jou gee verby jou eie ek,
is wat my nader aan jou trek
Om verby jou eie dink te leef
is iets waarna ek self ook streef.
Jy het jou waarde-plek bepaal
en tog het jy 'n ander skaal
wanneer jy mense-nood raaksien
en stop om hul in pyn te dien.
Stewig staan jy vasgeanker
jou voete aan die grond geranker
onbeweegbaar in jou kennis
van wie jy is en waar jy tuis is.
