Vandag mis ek jou met 'n seer

wat my hart stadig laat klop

sodat ek elke hamerslag

voel vibreer in my bors.

Ek mis jou oë die meeste,

hulle gesels sonder woorde,

sonder ritme of intonasie,

maar met die intiemheid

van 'n kus wat saggies

oor my lyf streel.

Ek mis jou stem,

jou hande,

jou lyf.

Ek mis jou.
