Coping Mechanisms

Today I shall restore the joy

which birth has made my own

when I endeavour to employ

the seeds that have now grown.

I am no longer without hope

with which to face tomorrow.

Experience gives a wide scope

with which to deal with sorrow.

So, I shall smile and carry on

and find a way to manage

for yesterday is now long gone

despite it’s lingering damage.
