met
jou tartend liefdesliedjie
op
kruidjie-roer-my-nie se maat
wat
my rolbos tolbos agterlaat.
Wag-’n-bietjie
speel 'n hartsnaar
maar
die deuntjie maak nie klaar
op
die haak-en-steek se wysie
want
iets is duidelik nie pluisie.
Wag-’n-bietjie
haak my hart vas
aan
die boom se growwe bas
en
die voëltjies sing 'n liedjie
waar
ons saamwag vir 'n bietjie.
