Fair damsels in distress

Little girl down at the pond
with your magic fairy wand
changing frogs to princely charm
to keep among your toadstool farm
You play with such delight and ease
and abundant joy that does not cease
among the dirt and dust and grime
forgetful of the date and time.

Little girl in your fairy bed tonight
when your mum turns out the light,
and ominous dark corners fill the house,
will you from your peaceful sleep arouse
to ward off the witch with her evil potion,
with your own, concocted from hand lotion?
Little girl, when your fantasies take flight,
you fill my days with unimagined delight.
