dans op die maat van 'n vals snaar,
wals
op die klank van 'n hol kitaar,
as
jy jou minnelied vir my sing
staan
ek nie alleen in die spot-kring.
Soos
'n by gaan jy van blom to blom,
en
jou waagmoed laat my skoon verstom
ek
wens ek kon tot diep in jou kyk;
en
weet hoe verwronge dit daar lyk.
Maak
dan dat jy eerder hier padgee
voor
my kaalkop woorde jou uitvee.

as
jy bluf en glo jy kan my kry.
