Significance

I like the word significant,
it’s just short of magnificent,
saying if we are to magnify,
then we should strive to signify.

To signify is to have a place,
to take a stand that you embrace,
to have a purposeful intent
and make an impacting statement.

It is only when we find our cause
that we give others cause to pause
and to reflect on who we are
and realize we’ve set a higher bar.

It’s then that increase can be found,
when we reflect on those around
our light which is significant,
for we’ve become magnificent.
