Wees stil my hart, klop nie benoud;
daar is nog hul wat weet jy’s goud.
My goud die skitter nie meer blink,
tog is my put nog goed om by te drink
Wees stil my hart en beef nie van angs;
elders wag een nog steeds op jou vangs,
wat uitsien om môre met jou te deel
en nooit ooit sal dink dat jou woorde verveel.
Staan op my hart en gee nou gehoor
aan God Wie se Woord jare lank al bekoor.
Hy roep jou nader, sê, ‘Maak jou gereed
om saam met My by jou bruilof te eet.’
Wees stil my hart, tree met God in gesprek;
Hy sal jou immer by Sy wil betrek.
